Life Lessons:

Kathleen Booker

*Are you happy at the moment?

I am levitating with joy. Sometimes I have to look at my feet to make sure they are still on the ground! I am extremely happy! Because I am doing what I love…Breathwork. When things get a bit challenging and they can…it is called Life (eg: ill parents, spouse, delayed new contract etc.)! The Breath brings me back to balance and joy as I watch myself or others flow with the Breath.

*If you could go back and say anything to your 16-year-old self now – what would it be?

‘You are a large Light, so vibrant! Let your Light shine, embrace it and cherish it because it is the truth of who you are. It is ok to be vibrant.’ However, that is not a 16 year old’s language, she would understand you are ok just as you are there is no need to be afraid of anything…you are perfect just as you are.

*What’s the most important thing you’ve learned this year?

Do not sweat the small stuff it just is not worth the extra wrinkles and frown lines! I read A Course in Miracles and one of the lessons that I really enjoy and that relaxes me is ‘above all else I want to see’ which means what is the meaning of this situation/experience for my highest and greatest good, not from the place of lowly worm.

*What do you most want to achieve in the next 12 months?

To be a part of Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign doing my Breathwork.

*What’s your secret to happiness?

Doing Breathwork sessions for myself and being willing to allow myself to surrender to my Breath so that the Breath will Breathe me and transform me mind, body, soul and emotions.

Also, reminding myself that right where I am is right where I am supposed to be . . . take a Breath and chill. Now I gotta confess sometimes that is a nano-second by nano-second thing!

*What one ritual or practice keeps you grounded?

Conscious Connected Breathwork keeps me grounded and I can stop, blink and Breathe and be grounded. The beauty of Breathwork is that it is portable and I can do it anywhere at any time to center myself or to go to sleep!

*What’s your biggest regret?

Hmmmm, I really cannot say because all of my experiences have led me to this right now moment. And in each experience I am willing to be willing to see what is the lesson or the Blessing . . . even if it is a lesson that I would not have chosen for myself. Oh wait . . . I just thought of one!!! I regret that I did not buy Apple stock when it was $12.00!!!!!

*What’s the most important lesson you’ve taught your kid(s)?

I do not have children however, I am very maternal, very nurturing to all children (whether I know them or not). I share several lessons with little ones: how much they are loved, they are loveable, you matter, how much better the world is with them here, Life is not difficult and that they can be and do whatever they desire because they are brilliant. When I say this to little babies they smile knowingly. Toddlers give a wide eye ‘Really’ look. Teenagers receive it deeply in their hearts they may try to be hardcore however, they are always grateful they were noticed.

*What bad habit would you most like to change about yourself?

My face is very expressive, as my husband says I can NEVER play poker cause my face gives everything away! I wrinkle my forehead…I have lines etched across my forehead! So I keep doing my Breathwork because Breathwork is like a face lift!!

*Aside from motherhood/fatherhood and marriage what are you most proud of in your life?

That I am on purpose . . . I am doing what is my soul purpose. I know that with every fiber of my being. And to quote James Brown ‘O I feel good!’

*When were you happiest?

When I am sharing the Breath with someone. The Breath is so power-full and it is very humbling to be witness to someone who is enveloped in the tenderness of the Breath and see their lives transform.

*What ten words best describe you?

Joy-full, nurturing, compassionate, knowledgeable, energetic, dependable, peace-full
