Ahhh yes, another day, another parenting debate. Check this out.
So there’s a hot topic flying around the Internet today. Australian model and TV presenter, Rachel Finch and her husband are the parents of a toddler. Well the outrage was swift with many calling her “selfish” an claiming that parenting is not a part time job.
But is having time to yourself as a parent really selfish? Is making the relationship with your spouse a priority, selfish?
I don’t think so.
I mean really, it’s not like they are leaving their child with wolves; they are letting her spend quality time with someone who is giving her love and support! And grandma may love every second of it.
And some were worried about what happens when the child is older?
Well as my mother liked to say, don’t borrow trouble. Maybe the situation will work then, maybe not, but they certainly have time to figure it out.

At the end of the day, parenting is an inexact thing with many of us just trying to do the best we can. If this helps Rachel and her husband be better parents, who are we to fault them?
Okay your turn.. what do you think?
Does this sound like an great idea or are they being selfish?
And don’t forget, tuned at 12:35 EST on CNN HLN where I’ll be on debiting this!
