*Are you happy at the moment?

Yes. Very excited for the opportunities ahead for both personal and business growth.

*If you could go back and say anything to your 16-year-old self now – what would it be?

Be totally committed to a hobby or sport, such as basketball or a musical instrument.

*What’s the most important thing you’ve learned this year?

“Embrace the struggle” from the book by Ben Horowitz “The Hard Thing About Hard Things” (that hardship and challenges are opportunities for me to grow and be better).

Moving to a new city and growing the business to the annual set goal.

*What’s your secret to happiness?

Discovered my passion (which is entrepreneurship) and doing what I love each day.

*What one ritual or practice keeps you grounded?

Be grateful of each experience and encounter, not taking it for granted.

Not able to let go over certain past conflicts with my father and not able to forgive him for a long time.

*What’s the most important lesson you’ve taught your kid(s)?

I don’t have children.

*What bad habit would you most like to change about yourself?

Being a night owl, really hope to sleep earlier and get up at 6 am each day.

*Aside from motherhood/fatherhood and marriage what are you most proud of in your life?

Persevering and not giving up on Ever Bamboo…seeing it grow from nothing to something, building a successful virtual team and sharing my entrepreneurial experience with other entrepreneurs.

*When were you happiest?

Golf road trip with a few of my best friends (in 2004).

*What ten words best describe you?

My motto:

Keep going and making new mistakes each day.

K.B. Lee, Founder and CEO of Ever Bamboo, first saw bamboo charcoal deodorizing and dehumidifying products while he’s travelling in Asia in 2006. Spotting the opportunity for such products in US and Canada, he started Ever Bamboo in 2007. By 2014, over 500 retailers are carrying the products and it was featured on The View as one of Whoopi’s Favorite Things in August 2014. In 2015, the brand has expanded internationally to Australia and UK. Find Ever Bamboo on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Combing the aisles at Target in search of the best deal on Cheerios, it hit Rene Syler like the stench of a dirty diaper on a hot summer’s day. Not only is perfection overrated its utterly impossible! Suddenly empowered, she figuratively donned her cape, scooped up another taco kit for dinner and Good Enough Mother was born.
