Life Lessons:
Carl David

*Are you happy at the moment?

Yes!

*If you could go back and say anything to your 16-year-old self now – what would it be?

Talk to your brother and let him know that what ever is bothering him, whatever demons are tormenting him, let him know that he has all the support of his family and he is loved, no matter what…..don’t end it, suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. You are not alone, there is help………

*What’s the most important thing you’ve learned this year?

That life is short & needs to be enjoyed every moment; for we are promised nothing and never know when it will be our last.

*What do you most want to achieve in the next 12 months?

Financial independence, peace of mind and continuing good health.

*What’s your secret to happiness?

A positive attitude; my glass is always half full; at least. Life is beautiful; it is what you make of it.

*What one ritual or practice keeps you grounded?

Looking around and realizing how blessed I am; a great family, friends and having a glass of wine and a cigar to chill out. Also playing music on my keyboard takes me away to a quiet place.

*What’s your biggest regret?

Not having seen my brother’s internal turmoil that cost his life ……

*What’s the most important lesson you’ve taught your kid(s)?

To live life to the fullest, treat others as you want them to treat you, and no matter what you do, do it right or not at all. Never take no for an answer, never quit, reach for your dreams and follow them; stay positive always!

*What bad habit would you most like to change about yourself?

That I have a hard time admitting when I am wrong and need to be a little more receptive to criticism and not take it personally…..

*Aside from motherhood/fatherhood and marriage what are you most proud of in your life?

My achievements as a person; my books, my music, my career as an art dealer and my treatment of others whom I encounter.

*When were you happiest?

When I am with my family but in particular when I am in Florida or California in warm sunny weather.

*What ten words best describe you?

Kind, compassionate, loving, intelligent, intuitive, creative, passionate, perceptive, generous, dedicated, driven.
