Well folks, we’re right around the corner from the weekend and another brand new month!
Happy Friday to you all and hope you’ve all had a great week! Here’s a quick look at what you may have missed this week on Good Enough Mother . . .
Back to school is right around the corner in my neck of the woods, but some of you out there may have another month of summer to contend with. In last week’s 10 From GEM, Jackie P. gave us 10 Ways To Make The Best Of Summer With The Kids At Home and has included some pretty fantastic ideas! You’ll want to check this one out for sure, especially if you live in an area that doesn’t start school until after Labor Day.
In last week’s Our Story Begins, Dave gave us a bit of a look into his upbringing in Where Did You Come From? I think it’s great fun to show your kids the places you call your ‘stomping grounds.’ What about you?
Each week, we invite two of our readers to share their stories in our Life Lessons column. We have a set of 12 standard questions and encourage folks from all walks of life to share their answers with us and our readers – it’s our favorite way to get to know some of you! Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to share your story with us!
As mom to 9 kiddos – yes, I said NINE – Tricia gets the award here at GEM for having the largest immediate family! Each month, she shares a glimpse into her life with us in her column, What Matters Most. In this month’s column, she talked about some ways that she finds successful in bringing herself out of a funk. Take a look at I Do NOT Have Time For A Personal Meltdown since all of us moms get in a funk every now and then and could certainly use some help.
One reader wrote in and was featured in our Ask Rene column because she’s married to someone who was never allowed in the kitchen growing up. He has no idea how to do dishes properly and that wife needed some help. For those of you who read regularly, you know Rene tells it like it is and she had some great advice for this lady! Check out I Need Some Help With This Housework! to see what she had to say.
Oh, and if you have a question that you’d like Rene’s advice on, click here and fire away!
Hope you enjoyed the roundup and that all of you have a fabulous weekend!
