Good Enough Mother:
Heels And Wheels 2015:
What REALLY gets your heart pumping when you sit behind the wheel of a new car? Is it the interior? The power? The price? Maybe all 3?
I told you recently I was invited, along with other women to test drive a number of different cars as part of Heels and Wheels 2015. I touched on how much fun it was and it truly was a great experience connecting with various car manufacturers and other digital and print automotive enthusiasts.
Now, let’s talk cars!
There were 14 cars for us to choose from and I made it my mission to get behind the wheel of each of them.. and I did!
First things first: We needed to get to the Four Seasons Westlake, which would be the base of operation. We each paired up and jumped into a vehicle. My partner, Fadra Nally, aka Louise (or Thelma) and I chose the 2015 Dodge Challenger 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker. Now I have to say this is one of the ones my nearly 17-year-old son was envious of; his old lady mother was gonna be behind the wheel of the Classic American Muscle car.
And I LOVED it! From the roar of the engine when you start it (nearly all the cars had push button starts) to its handling of the winding California mountain roads, it was a dream to drive!
Quick specs: 6.4 liter HEMI V-8 (includes 4-cyl model Fuel Saver Technology with automatic transmission)/RWD. The 2-door, 5 seat coupe features an all-new, redesigned interior. Starting MSRP- $39, 995; as driven $41, 685.
