Mom’s Must Read:
Alternatives to 50 Shades of Grey

There’s no denying that 50 Shades of Grey is the buzzword lately. It seems like everyone has an opinion on it: love it, hate it, etc., there’s no getting away from it. The book has been a best seller for over two years and while it may not have been the best written book available, it was certainly one of the most popular.

Now that 50 Shades of Grey has become a movie, the buzz has increased tenfold. Now we love a good book as much as the next bibliophile and we’ve even read a few steamy books back in the day, but we just aren’t that interested in erotica anymore. Fortunately for you, I’ve put together a list of Grown & Sexy books you might want to read if you liked 50 Shades of Grey.

1. Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood #1)

If you're into erotic romance, you've probably heard of JR Ward. The Black Dagger Brotherhood books were around long before EL James penned 50 Shades. Wondering what the deal is with this series? Think sexy vampires having sexy vampire sex. A sexy female vampire heroine. There are upwards of 13 titles in this sexy serial so you'll never have to stop reading.  A paranormal favorite at my bookstore.
