Life Lessons:
Nathan Gotch

*Are you happy at the moment?

I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life!

*If you could go back and say anything to your 16-year-old self now – what would it be?

“Start learning about entrepreneurship and how to build a successful business”

*What’s the most important thing you’ve learned this year?

That the only way for my business to continue growing is for me to spend the majority of my time working ON my business and not within it.

*What do you most want to achieve in the next 12 months?

Continue to grow my business while having balance and not working 12 hours a day (achieved through better productivity)!

*What’s your secret to happiness?

Continued growth and progress. Always be working to be better than the person you are today.

*What one ritual or practice keeps you grounded?

A near psychotic amount of planning before jumping into my day (1 hour of planning saves three hours of execution).

*What’s your biggest regret?

Not starting a business earlier in my life.

*What’s the most important lesson you’ve taught your kid(s)?

I don’t currently have kids, but when I do it will be to TAKE ACTION on whatever you want to achieve in life and you will reach your goal.

*What bad habit would you most like to change about yourself?

To realize that “work” isn’t always progress (I catch myself working on “busy” tasks from time-to-time).

*Aside from motherhood/fatherhood and marriage what are you most proud of in your life?

That I’ve worked hard on myself to become a better person and a better remodel for the people closest to me.

*When were you happiest?

When I’m thinking about the endless possibilities that life constantly offers me.

*What ten words best describe you?

Dedicated, hard-working, persistent, loyal, caring, understanding, creative, humble, respectful, and honest

Combing the aisles at Target in search of the best deal on Cheerios, it hit Rene Syler like the stench of a dirty diaper on a hot summer’s day. Not only is perfection overrated its utterly impossible! Suddenly empowered, she figuratively donned her cape, scooped up another taco kit for dinner and Good Enough Mother was born.
