By now you’re probably knee deep in holiday festivities: parties, shopping, cooking, decorating, etc. It’s a very busy time and since lots of people are celebrating lots of holidays, why not celebrate with them?

There’s no better time than after a busy day of holiday activities than to settle down with a hot cup of cocoa and a good picture book. Reading together is great fun and also great for reconnecting with the kids. This December, let’s celebrate the holidays with other cultures. Here are a few I have in mind that pair well with hot cocoa.

I can’t get enough of the Llama Llama books! They’re so cute, easy to read, and totally relatable. What person hasn’t had a holiday meltdown due to all of the “busy”ness of the season? Poor little llama. This is a story kids will want to hear again. And again. And again.
