Let’s face it: candy is the number one thing that kids want when they go to Halloween parties or trick-or-treating. Very few children (and we’d venture to guess none) have ever said that they want somebody to pass out toothbrushes and apples. You already know that kids will get plenty of candy, but some can’t eat it because of food allergies or other medical concerns. They still want to join in the fun of Halloween, though. Whether you’re throwing a party or passing out candy to trick-or-treaters, there’s no reason why you can’t offer different choices to the kids who don’t want or can’t eat candy.
