MotivationMonday Morning Motivation:
5 Things To Help You Through A Monday (And Life!)

Hola my peeps!

Happy Monday! It’s the start of a REALLY big week around here. Some of you who follow me on Facebook know that I am making a pretty big TV appearance this week; ABC executives asked if I would guest co-host The View! Of course I said yes, so that’s where I will be this Thursday. Check your local listings and make sure to tune in.

In a funny coincidence, my sister, Tracy Syler-Jones, was in town last weekend and we went out to dinner, later stumbling upon this lounge in the city. Of course, we took it as a sign and, also of course, took a picture.

The appearance on The View is quite interesting with regard to timing. It reminds me that there is a time and a season for everything.

You see 7 years ago, my life was turned inside out and upside down. I was fired from my high-profile gig as one of the anchors on the CBS Early Show. As you know, I have spent the last several years (almost a decade now) rebuilding my life and career, starting with pouring my energy into Good Enough Mother.

TV is my first love and I always thought I would go back. And yet, as the years went on, it seemed opportunities that were once there, dried up and no new ones were on the horizon.

So I pressed on; Good Enough Mother flourished.. and so did I.

Then, when I least expected it, when I was not paying attention, came the call to fill in on The View.

I learned a lot in that time, about me and about life.

So for today’s Monday Morning Motivation, I want to share with you 5  of my favorite lessons.

2. If You Hang On.....

I put this up on my Facebook Page  the other day and it seemed to resonate with a lot of people. But one of the big lessons for me over the last decade or so, has been that so much of life is about hanging on; nothing, NOTHING stays the same. It's just one, big, moving, round thing and, like the Ferris wheel, it will get back to the top. And what a stunning view it will be.
