All Aboard The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (Video)
I had the opportunity to attend a Media event last month to preview the newest attraction at Walt Disney World; the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. As a HUGE fan of all things Disney, I was so excited when I first heard about this ride being added to New Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom Park. During my many visits to Walt Disney World while the construction of the ride was taking place, I was able to catch a few glimpses here & there (over the wall…you Disney peeps know what I’m talking about right?) of the ride. I could tell just by those quick peeks that this was going to be another beautifully imagined addition to the Park but upon seeing and experiencing the completed ride, it far exceeded any expectations I had….which is something that Disney always seems to do!
To say you are totally immersed in the world of the Dwarfs is an understatement. Right from the start in the queue you are drawn in to the Mine with twirling buckets of gems that create projections on the ceiling, an interactive area where you can sort the gemstones as water drips to musical notes, and lots of other amazing architectural details.
The coaster ride is smooth as it goes up & down and twists along the tracks in the swinging mine buckets. You’re treated to the merry song of the Dwarfs as you Heigh-Ho your way through the diamond mine…a stunningly beautiful recreation of the mine from the Disney movie classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. A great ride for all ages! The special touches at the end of the ride were my absolute favorite…you can peer through the window of Snow White’s cottage to see a sweet scene of the Dwarfs and Snow White dancing and there is a surprise visitor at the end who’s just hoping someone will take a taste of the fruit she has to offer. (Guess who?) Disney Imagineers never disappoint, the details are exquisite and the attraction is magical from beginning to end.
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is now open to the public so be sure to head to Magic Kingdom Park to experience the newest “gem” in the Disney Parks family!!
