Life Lessons:
Sonia Singh

1. Are you happy at the moment?

I am not only happy, but also fulfilled and aligned.

2. If you could go back and say anything to your 16-year-old self now– what would it be?

That you are enough. Everything you desire for yourself and your life is valid and you deserve to go for your dreams.

3. What’s the most important thing you’ve learned this year?

I learned that when you don’t follow what your heart says you will live a life that is disconnected. It’s never too late to change course and become who you were meant to be. The most important thing you can do in your life is to find your authentic self and build a life around it.

4. What do you most want to achieve in the next 12 months?

I want to raise the consciousness of mothers by teaching them the tools of self-discovery, mindset and goal-setting so that they can consciously create a lifestyle by design.

5. What’s your secret to happiness?

Checking in with myself on a daily basis and taking action that is aligned with it is that I need the most at that moment. There is no wrong if I keep moving toward my vision.

6. What one ritual or practice keeps you grounded?

Meditation has been a game changer for me. It keeps me grounded and focussed on the important things in life and helps me not to get caught up by the demands and pressures from others and life in general.

7. What’s your biggest regret?

That I went almost 40 years neglecting myself because I didn’t think my dreams for myself were possible.

8. What’s the most important lesson you’ve taught your kids?

Self-awareness and positive thinking. By being in-tune with yourself they will always be guided in life. Positive thinking will change their landscape and open up new possibilities and opportunities. They are the future generation who will change the world. Teaching them to be conscious and positive will give them the tools they need to heal the world.

9. What bad habit would you most like to change about yourself?

Working on my laptop in the evening when kids are at home. I need to be more present with them when they are at home.

10. Aside from motherhood, what are you most proud of in your life?

That I’m going for my dreams of building a business that will help others and make a difference in the world. I’m pushing myself outside my comfort zone and facing my fears. I’m giving myself a shot!

11. When were you happiest?

I’ve been the happiest when our family is on vacation together. Everyone is more relaxed and connected.

12. What ten words best describe you?

Open-minded, loyal, caring, patient, learner, alchemist, passionate, trustworthy, helpful, motivator
