Life Lessons:
Irina Jordan

*Are you happy at the moment?

Yes, I am. I believe that happiness is a habit and I choose to be happy at all times. I am an optimist and sunny attitude helps me greatly even when the going gets tough.

*If you could go back and say anything to your 16-year-old self now – what would it be?

You are in for a fun ride. Your life will be full of twists and turns, most of them will be good ones. You have a lot to look forward to. Just keep enjoying life and living it to the fullest.

*What’s the most important thing you’ve learned this year?

You can find your life purpose at any age. I’ve found mine this year and I am so excited in fulfilling it for the rest of my life and creating lasting legacy for my kids.

*What do you most want to achieve in the next 12 months?

I want to make my company – ARTISURN – an established player in the memorial items market. I want people to proudly display Artisurn’s handcrafted urns and keepsakes in their homes and wear Artisurn’s handmade memorial jewelry to remember their loved ones.

*What’s your secret to happiness?

Being grateful for everything I have in my life and saying ‘thank you’ each and every day.

*What one ritual or practice keeps you grounded?

Reflecting on what lies ahead and setting an intention for a day before getting out of bed and giving thanks before going to bed.

*What’s your biggest regret?

I regret of not starting Artisurn.com sooner. I find it so gratifying being able to help people with their grieving journeys by allowing them find handcrafted memorial pieces that ‘speak’ to them and help them heal quicker.

*What’s the most important lesson you’ve taught your kid(s)?

Be optimistic and open to possibilities. Work hard and never give up. Enjoy life!

*What bad habit would you most like to change about yourself?

I need to be more patient. I tend to be impulsive and there are times when it backfires. I need to learn to take my time and reflect on things.

*Aside from motherhood/fatherhood and marriage what are you most proud of in your life?

I am proud of feeling excited about my life and being a role model for my kids.

*When were you happiest?

I am happiest when I am able to help people. ARTISURN has a vibrant Facebook community at www.facebook.com/artisurn that I’d love people to check out and join in conversations.

*What ten words best describe you?

Optimist, hard worker, type A personality, determined, multilingual, curious, social, connector, avid reader and life lover.

Irina Jordan is the owner of Artisurn—online marketplace of handcrafted urns, jewelry and keepsakes. Connector. Optimist. Avid reader. Mother of three. Yoga practitioner.

Combing the aisles at Target in search of the best deal on Cheerios, it hit Rene Syler like the stench of a dirty diaper on a hot summer’s day. Not only is perfection overrated its utterly impossible! Suddenly empowered, she figuratively donned her cape, scooped up another taco kit for dinner and Good Enough Mother was born.
