What Matters Most:
My Everyday Chaotic Life Makeover

Do you always feel like you are being dragged through life rather than living the life you so desire?

Does it often appear like most everyone else is gliding through their lovely life while you’re on this endless merry-go-round that seems to be going faster and faster and you can’t seem to make it stop? I can so relate! Issues in every area of my life. Issues with my husband. Issues with my children. Issues with a friend. Issues with time management. And then there are the even bigger issues that overwhelm me and if I had my way I’d just curl up in a ball and wish it all away.

LESS OF ME &
MORE OF YOU, GOD

Most days I feel like all that I do is run from one problem to the next trying hard to fix everything and rise above the chaos of my life.

On one hand it is this feeling of complete inadequacy that keeps me on my knees and makes me very aware of just how much I need God and for that I’m grateful. I press in to Jesus so that I can press on. I want focus. Clarity. Inward peace. Breathing in and out that prayer that has no words but is filled with all my deepest, heart felt desires and needs to somehow be met.

GET ME OFF THE
MERRY-GO-ROUND

For weeks now I have wrestled with how to get off the merry-go-round. Then comes the new year fresh with all the hopes of starting anew. New goals. Setting priorities straight. Purposing to put what matters most in their rightful place.

PUTTING EVERYTHING
IN ORDER

Yesterday I spent my morning doing just that. Looking over my schedule and how to better run this household of 13. My menu plan is in place. New chores assigned for each child. Each child has a clipboard with their morning and evening “To Do” list. The bathroom and kitchen have a detailed list of “What To Do” so that when I check their work I can point to said list and let them know their job is not finished instead of being met with “You didn’t say I had to…!”

Feeling accomplished and hopeful. Ready for this new year and all that it will bring.

If you have not taken the time to stop the “merry-go-round of craziness” in your life even if for just a few hours to reflect and refresh I highly recommend doing just that…and soon. Even though it seems that you do not have the time to spare, in all actuality until you purpose to make changes, nothing will change.

What things do you know you need to weed out in order to help you better manage all that you have on your plate? What will you put in place for this new year to bring you closer to your goals of living a life filled with what matters most?

I would love to hear what things in your life you hope to see changed.
Blessings!
