Pixie Dust Central: 5 Best Things About Halloween Season At Magic Kingdom Park (Video)

Halloween is my most favorite holiday of the whole year, and Disney Parks spreads it out over nearly 2 months! Halloween’s happiest haunts will be present during the “spook-tacular” nights of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Theme Park. From now through Nov. 1, the after-hours special ticket event will immerse Guests in the Halloween spirit for sure. Take a look at the Festival Guide for a glimpse into the “spook-tacular” fun that awaits! New features this year include the debut of Jack Skellington and Sally (from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas”), along with “Monsters, Inc.” scarers Mike and Sulley hosting their own Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball. The night of ever so slightly frightful fun begins at 7 p.m. and runs until midnight, with Guests encouraged to don their favorite Halloween costumes and partake in trick-or-treating around Magic Kingdom Park.

2. SPECIAL HAPPY HALLOWISHES FIREWORKS

MNSSHPHallowishes
The bewitching “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks spectacular will illuminate the sky in bursts of orange and green fireworks. This display is by far the very best one of the entire year, in my humble opinion, of course. The colors are all spooky and the bursts are indeed spectacular! There are even spooky images projected onto Cinderella Castle to make it look especially scary!

3. MICKEY’S BOO-TO-YOU PARADE

MNSSHPBooTooYou
In “Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade” the Headless Horseman parades a gang of ghostly characters down Main Street, U.S.A. for a haunted, but happy, Halloween season. I’ll be honest, this parade is just THE BEST! Of course, my humble opinion again. Can you tell that Halloween is my favorite holiday? I just love it because all of the floats are completely different from anything you see at any other time of the year. There are some really amazing surprises during the parade too!

4. DRESSING UP IN COSTUME

MNSSHPCostumes
This is one big costume party for adults and kids alike! Just remember, there are a couple of rules with costumes. The tone of the party is not-so-scary, so keep that in mind when you choose your costume. Also, if you dress up like a Disney Character, you must not pretend that you are a REAL Character or sign autographs for any little ghouls.

How much fun is trick-or-treating? As an ADULT!?!! Yes, you heard right! Adults are allowed to not only dress up in not-so-scary costumes, but you can actually trick-or-treat with your kiddos! Be sure to go through the trick-or-treat trails! Best fun EVER! Combing the aisles at Target in search of the best deal on Cheerios, it hit Rene Syler like the stench of a dirty diaper on a hot summer’s day. Not only is perfection overrated its utterly impossible! Suddenly empowered, she figuratively donned her cape, scooped up another taco kit for dinner and Good Enough Mother was born.
