Life Lessons:
Michelle Reece

Are you happy at the moment?

Yes I am; my life, business, friendships, family couldn’t be better. I am very happy about my new business ventures. Working with new clients, and being on the internt airwaves at Fishbowl Radio Network.

If you could go back and say anything to your 16-year-old self now – what would it be?

Listen more. Learn more things out of life.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned this year?

How to be patient. Patience can go a long way if you just take out more time. Also learn how to start doing things for me by taking more time out for myself. Enjoying my life, and stop doing things for others who don’t even care about you.

What do you most want to achieve in the next 12 months?

Writing my Marketing 101 books. I am going to write a series of books. I have a few ventures I started this year; my signature skin care and make-up line, a weight loss product, and a unisex fragrance. And growing my fanbase more on my online radio show.

What’s your secret to happiness?

Praying daily, cooking for people that I love, shopping for the hottest new fashion, and I enjoying reading about history. And the most happiness of all is having a big bowl of cookies ‘n cream ice cream….lol.

What one ritual or practice keeps you grounded?

Praying, and remembering what my late mother used to say, “Treat people the way u want to be treated.” Because God don’t like ugly…she used to say to me. Advice I use daily.

What’s your biggest regret?

Not keeping a open mind on things. I have learn through the years that life is what you make it. It’s really not that hard unless you make it hard for yourself. I feel that if you keep a open mind about life choices, things would be better.  That, and not going with my gut feelings.

What’s the most important lesson you’ve taught your kid(s)?

I don’t have any kids, but when I do become a mother I will teach them to always stay humble, trust in God, and, most of all, believe in yourself. Becasue if you don’t no one else will.

What bad habit would you most like to change about yourself?

Try not to be so forgetful lol..take notes more.

Aside from motherhood and marriage what are you most proud of in your life?

Not married and not a mother just yet. One day I will make that happen. If I was, I think I would be most proud of myself raising a happy family. And happy that God would bless my with a great hubby. (I will keep u posted when that happens…lol.)

When were you happiest?

I’m still happy now and enjoy my life, but I do miss my mother a lot. She was my happiest, my best friend. I couldn’t ask for a better mother. But I do find myself thinking of things we used to enjoy together, and that brings back happy times.

What ten words best describe you?

Live, laugh, lovable, music lover, businesswoman, shopping, cooking, traveling, people person.

More in Career

Combing the aisles at Target in search of the best deal on Cheerios, it hit Rene Syler like the stench of a dirty diaper on a hot summer’s day. Not only is perfection overrated its utterly impossible! Suddenly empowered, she figuratively donned her cape, scooped up another taco kit for dinner and Good Enough Mother was born.
