Hey ya! We hope all the Mother’s Day advice we’ve been giving you has been helpful. From practical summer dresses to unique to chic but cheap, we’ve tried to go and make sure you had all the options a mother would love. But what if you are a struggling teen with only a little bit of your allowance hanging around after you’ve bought your Belieber tickets (that’s Justing Beiber for you parents) or your prom apparel? It might be hard on your wallet to get mom something that she might want.
Well, you know what we found out? Mom wants you to put that money right back in your pocket! Yep. According to McGraw Hill Federal Credit Union, they surveyed 300 moms and found the following:
- 49% of moms believe their children are unprepared to get a job
- 44% believe their children will not be able to finance college
- One third believe their children are “not at all prepared” to save $ or live on their own
