Are you happy at the moment?

I am extremely happy at the moment!!!

If you could go back and say anything to your 16-year-old self now – what would it be?

If I could go back and say one thing to my 16-year-old self, I would say to start following YOUR dreams NOW!!! I waited until I was in my late 30’s to start Bag Voyaage, a door-to-door luggage transportation service throughout the continental US and Canada, which allows customers to travel hands free. It’s never too late to follow your dreams, but an early start is always advantageous.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned this year?

The most important thing I’ve learned this year is to let the past remain exactly where it is… the past. After all, it can’t be changed, only learned from.

What do you most want to achieve in the next 12 months?

In the next 12 months I most want to achieve the satisfaction of knowing that I have made a positive impact in the lives of others. Whether it be for business or pleasure, I want people’s lives to be positively impacted to the fullest.

What’s your secret to happiness?

My secret to happiness is to always take on someone else’s needs as if they were my own. This causes one to understand exactly what someone else is dealing with. Also, you will work harder to get a resolution if you view it as your own personal need.

What one ritual or practice keeps you grounded?

One ritual or practice that keeps me grounded is a God-given hunger and a thirst to know my creator. It allows me to truly know that HE is everything and I am nothing without HIM.

What’s your biggest regret?

I personally do not have any regrets. I truly believe that everything that happens in our lives is for a future lesson for you and/someone else coming up behind you.

What’s the most important lesson you’ve taught your kid(s)?

The most important lesson that I’ve taught my children is to find out the truth for themselves. People are just human. They are prone to make mistakes. They may not intentionally mislead you, but because they are human, they will make mistakes. Find the truth for yourself.

What bad habit would you most like to change about yourself?

This may not sound like a bad habit, but I have a bad habit of trying to help too many people. I sometimes try and help so many people that I spread myself thin. I have to come to realize that I am not the ONLY helper in the world. =)

Aside from motherhood/fatherhood and marriage what are you most proud of in your life?

I am most proud that I am Managing Partner of Bag Voyaage! What a wonderful business we have! We are truly putting convenience and value back into travel. We are helping families save money so that they can enjoy their vacations. It is truly an honor and a privilege to be a part of a company that’s making a difference in everyday lives. We often ask our customers, “Why tip the airlines and STILL carry your own bags?” Let us take your bags and travel HANDS FREE!

When were you happiest?

At the time I found out that I was going to be a father, I thought I could not get any happier, but once my daughter came into this world…since then I am the happiest man alive!

What ten words best describe you?

Loving, humble, kind, considerate, unselfish, patient, passionate, determined, focused, driven, helper, God-fearing.
