Good Enough Mother Presents…
SURVIVOR STORIES 2012!
Happy Monday! Here’s to the first day of October! As you know by now, October is a special time for us around here. It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a chance to educate ourselves more about the disease (more than 200,000 women are diagnosed in this country and nearly 40,000 die from it every year). It’s long been a pet project of mine given my family history and I have been an ambassador for Komen for the Cure for many years. While we are making tremendous strides with regard to diagnosis, treatment and survival, we have a way to go; the disease is still taking too many lives.
But this month, we want to celebrate, so we are presenting our 3rd annual Survivor Stories, an intimate look at people who’ve been diagnosed and fought breast cancer, in their own words.
As I said in the video, I hope you get as much out of these courageous stories as we did putting them together. And speaking of that, I would be remiss if I didn’t give a HUGE, sloppy wet kiss to our team here at Good Enough Mother. So Ella, Alexis, Sang, Beth and Jackie thank you so much for the many hours you put into this project. You may never know the lives you touch in doing so. I cannot thank you enough.
Okay, enough of the mutual admiration society; to those of you watching and reading, I invite you to come back daily for a dose of inspiration. But more than that, I urge you to share this with those who need to see it and.. TAKE CARE OF YOU!
