Calling All Breast Cancer Survivors… We Want YOU!

By: Alexis Trass Walker

Are you a breast cancer survivor? Do you know a phenomenal woman (or man) who deserves to be featured? Then we want to hear from you! You know how important breast cancer is to us around here. Since our mission is to inform as well as entertain, we want to tell you about what we’re planning.

Each year, we mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month by highlighting survivors and their stories. (You can go here and here to read some of last year’s stories). We’re going to run the same feature every weekday during October profiling the amazing stories of breast cancer survivors. We want to hear your unique experience and give hope to others by sharing it with our readers.

If you or someone you know would like to participate, please contact Alexis Trass Walker at We can’t wait to hear from you!

Good luck and continued good health!

I’m currently going through treatment – more than half-way through chemo. I’m game. I’ve been writing about my experience (along with other stuff) on my blog if you want to have a read.

Combing the aisles at Target in search of the best deal on Cheerios, it hit Rene Syler like the stench of a dirty diaper on a hot summer’s day. Not only is perfection overrated its utterly impossible! Suddenly empowered, she figuratively donned her cape, scooped up another taco kit for dinner and Good Enough Mother was born.
