Twitter Party Fun… Thanks BUYDIG!

Whooooo-weeee! We are still on a crazy kind of high from last night’s rockin’ Twitter Party featuring our sponsor BuyDig.com. I’m gonna tell you something; I spent more than two decades in TV News and have been inside control rooms or in-studio during all sorts of events. This one ranked right up there with those experiences. It was exhilarating! As you know, this was our first one and it was a rousing success. We had nearly 100 RSVP’s, a robust number for even established parties, much less an inaugural event.

I can’t let another minute go by without recognizing sponsor BuyDig.com.. thanks for the awesome prizes and for playing along.

To Ella and Jackie, you ladies were great! Thanks for the hours and hours you spent working on this. It really showed. That goes for the rest of Team GEM too.. man, I’m so damn glad to have you all here!

And last but not least, you guys. A number of you had never been to a Twitter party, or even tweeted before so that fact that you would give it the old college try for us makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.  From the bottom of my heart, thanks!

As some of you may know I’m on vacation in Florida so I thought I’d show you what it looked like from our end.

Of course, this is what you saw.

And this was what was going on at GEM command central.

Thanks to my mom, Anne Syler who also tried her hand at Twitter last night and to our newest GEM employee.. Casey, who’s been invaluable to our operation. And my life.

Hey, don’t forget, we have more stuff with BuyDig.com, including our picture of the week contest and stay tuned to this space because we have another Twitter party in the works;  we’ll be announcing details soon!

Combing the aisles at Target in search of the best deal on Cheerios, it hit Rene Syler like the stench of a dirty diaper on a hot summer’s day. Not only is perfection overrated its utterly impossible! Suddenly empowered, she figuratively donned her cape, scooped up another taco kit for dinner and Good Enough Mother was born.
