A friend and fellow GEM sent me a video, knowing how much I would appreciate it. As you know, like all precious stones, there are many sides to this GEM and one of them is my quest to get more in touch with my authentic self, the final piece of which, was the hair trauma I experienced a few years back.
Anyway, I am really, REALLY blessed to have married a guy about 18 years ago, who was then and is now, solidly in my corner in all of the things I do, including when I cut all my hair off to start fresh. Unfortunately, not all of us are that lucky.
So when this friend sent me this video, I watched it intently. Is hair REALLY that big a deal to men? Is it a bigger deal than loving what’s underneath? How strong is your relationship foundation if hair follicles can derail the whole, damn thing?
This video is long but I do love what this guy says (especially his first point). To my male GEMs, would it make a difference to you if she explained why she was doing it? What it meant to her? Do you really care or want to know what “co-washing” is?
Lemme hear ya?
