Handling Hard Times, Good Enough Mother Style

The other day I told you I had the pleasure of sitting down with Holly Pavlika from Momentum for a nice, little chat. She was asking me about how Good Enough Mother came to be and about my love of social media  (you can see the first part of that interview here). The last piece of the three-part interview deals with something I have lived the last several years and love to talk about; that is how to power through hard times. I’m constantly amazed when I tell my story, how many folks have gone through something similar. It underscores to me that I don’t have a lock on life’s difficulties,  we ALL go through them. I guess we should think of them as the price of admission for a life well-lived.

So if you’re struggling a bit now, sit back and take a listen;  I truly hope these tips help. And if you’ve been through a rough patch, are on the other side and have something to offer those currently on the path (and yes, it is a journey), leave a comment because that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it? Sharing the load so the burden never gets too tough.

Combing the aisles at Target in search of the best deal on Cheerios, it hit Rene Syler like the stench of a dirty diaper on a hot summer’s day. Not only is perfection overrated its utterly impossible! Suddenly empowered, she figuratively donned her cape, scooped up another taco kit for dinner and Good Enough Mother was born.
