The GEM Debate: Do You Watch Porn?

porno

…And if you did would you admit it on national TV?

That’s just what Cameron Diaz did on the Jimmy Kimmel show on Thursday night.

Diaz has never been one to shy away from sexual talk. Remember last year she told Playboy that she was ‘always traveling for XXXX’ (as in the male body part that rhymes with rock!)

But you know what? I like that comment! Ha, yeah I said it. I like when a woman is confident enough to say what she means without fear. Diaz owns her sexuality; she’s young, single, in great shape, why shouldn’t she be living a life that pleases her. If sex is a part of that (and she’s taking precautions to be safe) then so be it.

I have to say as a mother of two little people, I’m not a fan of porn, given how it objectifies women and some of it is quite violent and graphic. But if we’re talking about owning your sexuality, Cameron Diaz does it in spades. Personally, I think that’s a healthy thing.

But what about all of you out there!

Here’s today’s GEM Debate – and it’s an X rated one

Do you watch porn? Alone or with your partner? Does porn bother you? And how would you feel if your other half was checking it out when you weren’t around?

Start commenting everyone… whew, is it just me or is it hot in here!

seems like the only one that benefities in Porn in the long run is the male. So many times women, children et,al are subjected to demands of abnormal or other types of sex. I vote NO on porn, Do not watch am against it. mom

    I am a prude….no porn for me…

Honestly while I can respect Cameron Diaz for being open…cuz I am an open kind of person…that is one area I am “old school” about….

The other night my hubbie wanted me to watch an OWN show called “In the Bedroom” it took 5 minutes for me to high tale it out and find something else to do…and that is not even porn….lol

I think we might find a gender divide here!

As a gay man I love a good bit of porn and think it’s totally healthy 🙂

As they say in the show Avenue Q – it’s what the internet was created for!

I think what we will actually find is, Rich…is that the guys are ok with admitting it. I would feel comfortable betting that a percentage of the women that say they dont really do or the ones that do just wont answer at all. Any woman that has ever ordered a sex toy has received a vid (its usually a free one). I find it hard to believe ALL the girls throw them away lol.

Woah Rene! No one can say that your topics dont cover the gamut. Brousing on facebook, ran across this question and made a B line over to the GEM site. LOL!

I, too love it when us women are not afraid to own our sexuality. I also believe that whatever is enjoyed sexully should be done as a couple. I have a problem when men in a relationship decide to view porn off by themselves.

Whew! There! That is all! Now on my way to stick my head in the freezer…rather warm in here right NOW! LOL!

Yes I watch it with and without my husband. I like it because it gives me (and my hubby) ideas. Neither one of us were sexually advanced when we met, so it was a way to connect, laugh, learn, and grow. It’s not a regular thing, but I think it’s healthy and it works for US. I know my hubby watches it when I’m not around and I’m alright with it and vice versa. We’re not super freaks or anything, but we both look at sex as something that can evolve so we watch porn, read articles, and just try things.

While I’ve watched it in spurts in the past (just the young person’s fascination with getting away with watching it knowing all the while you’re way too young & later watching it just to “learn a few techniques”), I’ve have to say I really don’t care for it much anymore. However, I find it sexy for a couple to make porn and watch it together. Yet, I think because relationships always stand a chance of falling out, I say BURN THE TAPE because who knows where it’ll end up!! 🙂

Combing the aisles at Target in search of the best deal on Cheerios, it hit Rene Syler like the stench of a dirty diaper on a hot summer’s day. Not only is perfection overrated its utterly impossible! Suddenly empowered, she figuratively donned her cape, scooped up another taco kit for dinner and Good Enough Mother was born.
