Is it just me – or is it getting hot in here!
In my recent Ten From GEM postings I’ve talked about my favorite movies, songs, books and dreams for the future (see the tag – TEN FROM GEM – in the righthand sidebar). Well now it’s time to get down to the business of… well… L-U-S-T!
Yes, in this Ten From GEM, I’m going to satisfy the id in us all by naming the Ten Hottest Men! Now I know we have some (straight) male readers here and we don’t want them to miss out on all the fun – so feel free to chime in guys, while myself, the girls and my gays weigh in with our own lists. Or alternatively just wait until we do the Ten Hottest Women – it’s coming soon!
Now one thing you need to know about me is it’s not just about looks – not these days anyway. Nowadays there’s so much more that goes into making a man hot – like a great sense of humor and lots of money. Kidding. Sort of.
So here goes in no particular order.
MATTHEW MORRISON: Mr. Schuester is just adorbs! He sings, he’s empathetic and that HAIR! Wow… where was he when I was in school? I would have definitely joined the Glee club if he were leading it.
JON HAMM: I want to have a cocktail and slip out of my girdle every time I see this man on TV. He even makes smoking, as gross as it is, look appealing. THAT is some impressive acting.
WILL SMITH: I had a chance to interview Will years ago for one of the Bad Boys movies. He came into the room with a little kid who was not related to him, probably the son of a friend. He treated this little boy with such respect, and made it clear he was going to stay in the room during the interview. Then he was gracious and kind and gregarious to me along with just being so good looking. Great guy all around.
GEORGE CLOONEY: Gorgeous George just gets better with age. Impeccable taste, always stylish, smart and socially conscious – a killer combination.
DENZEL WASHINGTON: I know so obvious – but name a single African American woman who doesn’t go gaga for Denzel…
TOM SELLECK: Okay I know I am dating myself now, but again, years ago I met him when he came into the studio. He was 60 at the time and in GREAT SHAPE! Still had a thick head of hair, great moustache and his eyes really do twinkle.
BORIS KODJOE: I know very little about him except that he is starring in the new NBC series Undercovers and he is SM-M-O-K-I-N’!
THE ROCK, aka DeWayne Johnson: Another great guy I met and interviewed in person. He’s a lovely man, beautiful physique and great smile (even if ‘follicly challenged’!)
RICK FOX: I had a huge crush on him when he was in the NBA. Now that he’s on Dancing With The Stars I have a renewed affection for him. I love a man willing to try something new and step outside his comfort zone.
BUFF PARHAM: my husband, who possesses the single thing I think separates hot from hotter… and that is smarts. Buff is a brilliant businessman from whom I learn something new everyday.
So that’s my list – but what about yours? Start sending over your lists – and weighing in on my choices…
And can someone crack open a window here please… Phew!
