GEM On The GO!
Russet In Philadelphia (VIDEO)
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Okay so remember when I went to Philadelphia to shoot an episode of my new show, Sweet Retreats? I had a chance to connect with some awesome Philly area mom bloggers (I’ll tell you more about Karla Trotman, Pam Margolis and Uneeka Jay a bit later). But we needed a cool place with great food and awesome ambience for out little meet up and Karla suggested Russet. Located in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood, the restaurant is actually in a centuries old townhouse, full of eye-catching architecture. But your palate will be as pleased as your peepers (I know, I KNOW!) when you sit down and experience chefs/owners Andrew and Kristin Wood’s amazing cuisine.
Andrew told me he didn’t grow up with a love of food, something I found hard to believe based on the symphony taking place in the kitchen. Well, instead of me trying to paint a picture with words, take a peek for yourself. Thanks Andrew and Kristen for your hospitality! And if you like what you see, stop by Russet and like them on Facebook too!

Thanks for causing an intense hunger pain that a salad won’t cure :/ Now I have to drive downtown for dinner tonight to get my Russet fix. Great video Rene.
I’m in Philly now, will have to check it out!
