So last week it was all about the sunsets and we had some beautiful entries. You can click here to see them all. But based on the online votes (come on now we need more of you to play along too!) and those of the GEM staff, the winner of the $25 dollars gift certificate to be used at is…..

Okay, time to announce this week’s Picture of the Week subject. So we need you to upload the photo to or some other photo sharing website so we can gather all the images by Thursday of this week, post on Friday and announce the winner next Monday.

Now, we do have a holiday coming up this week, which gives us a perfect opportunity to take some awesome photos. So the contest this week is for you to take the best 4th of July picture. It can be anything you want that you think best depicts the holiday. Don’t forget, upload to a photo-sharing site then leave the link in the comments section here.

    Congrats, Debbie! Here’s a pic I just love showing off. It is my daughter enamored with her new friend yesterday. I love when kids meet other kids and just fall in love. No pretense, no FB stalking…just pure “let’s be friends.”
